Calcium and phosphorus content

Calcium and phosphorus are not artificially added; they come purely from natural ingredients. Since meat is not a standardized raw material with constant analysis values, the content varies between:

• 0.16 - 0.24% calcium
• 0.13 - 0.19% phosphorus

Feeding recommendation

400 g per day per 10 kg of body weight. Please note: this is only a rough guideline. The actual feeding amount must be determined individually for each dog and adjusted according to age, breed, activity level, sex, neutered / intact status, etc. We recommend comparing your dog’s weight with breed-specific values according to age and size. Weigh your dog before changing the diet and initially feed the recommended amount for about 2 weeks. If your dog gains weight, reduce the amount; if your dog loses weight or is too light, increase the amount.

Treatment of struvite stones in dogs

If a bacterial urinary tract infection is treated, for example through the administration of antibiotics, and a special anti-struvite dog food is provided that regulates the pH value of the urine and acidifies it, then struvite stones can usually be dissolved effectively.

Preventing struvite stones

To prevent struvite stones, the dog should drink enough water and receive a healthy, balanced diet. Regular veterinary visits and check-ups can also help reduce the risk of struvite stone formation.

Feeding duration

For dissolving struvite stones: 5–12 weeks; for preventing/reducing new stone formation: initially up to 6 months. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before feeding or extending the feeding duration.

Contraindications

Not suitable for uroliths that are not struvite (e.g. oxalate stones).

Our wet food for reducing and dissolving struvite stones contains a high proportion of tasty chicken meat and no cheap slaughterhouse waste. It provides important animal proteins. Chicken is high in protein, low in fat, easy to digest, and contains relatively high levels of potassium, magnesium, and zinc. Potassium has positive effects on nerves and heart muscle, magnesium supports heart and muscle function, and zinc is beneficial for the immune system. Chicken also contains B vitamins, including folic acid. B vitamins support metabolism, healthy skin and coat growth, and blood formation.

Fennel

Fennel contains essential oils, silicic acid, mineral salts, starch, and vitamins A, B, and C. It is traditionally used as a remedy for gastrointestinal issues and supports digestion.

Quinoa

Quinoa is an excellent and special protein source, as the small seeds contain all nine essential amino acids, which is unusual for a plant-based food. It is also rich in minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, sodium, zinc, and iron. Vitamins A, E, B1, B12, folic acid, C, and niacin make quinoa a true powerhouse. The seeds are also gluten-free. Gluten can cause food intolerances. Quinoa has a grain-like composition but belongs to the goosefoot family, making it a gluten-free pseudocereal.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin is very low in calories and contains no saturated fats or cholesterol. It provides vitamin A, carotenoids such as beta-carotene, fiber (digestion), potassium, vitamin C, vitamin E, lutein & zeaxanthin (eyes), niacin, folic acid, vitamin B6, thiamine, pantothenic acid, copper, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium.
